Better than Good

"The meaning of good and bad, of better and worse, is simply helping or hurting." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Sometimes in striving to be the "best," there is a tendency to run roughshod over the feelings of others. In the scramble to the top, people will inevitably be climbed over, pushed down, and left on the bottom.

If you stand on the top of a mountain of hurt, does that make you the best?

Or bring it in a little closer... within your own family. If your way is always the "right" and "best" way, excluding or dismissing the voices and opinions of your loved ones, do you create a happy home?

Forget about being good, better or best. Are you helping or hurting?

"Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone." -Jesus
